VTT, Sustainable next-generation batteries, webinar
On April 24, there was provided “Sustainable Next Generation Batteries” webinar organized by our partner Sam Mousavi from the Finland Institute of Technology under the umbrella of the TwinVECTOR EU-funded project.
On the webinar, participants could advance their knowledge about energy storage technologies and find out the main criteria for choosing energy storage fulfilling sustainability requirements.
Also, during the webinar key performance indicator of current battery technology were explained, and a comparison based on performance and sustainability was performed.
Finally, an interesting overview of the sustainability of lithium-ion batteries with details, challenges and possible solutions was performed. Technologies beyond lithium-ion were also taken into consideration and explained.
